NGIVettes (North Georgia Island Corvettes) was created by friends in January 2008. The group wanted NGIVettes' purpose to be one of supporting the community, local and national charities. The idea being that a group can make a difference in the community each time that group puts forth its best efforts.
 
For the past several years, many of the members of NGIVettes have worked toward this goal with one car club or another. This tradition of working with these clubs, along with local and national charities is at the core of NGIVettes mission. As NGIVettes progresses through 2009 the name invoked the thought that this was another Corvette club and other automobiles marquees felt the organization was a group dedicated to the American Sport Car icon rather than its true mission. In an effort to appeal to a much boarder group and audience and encourage participation of all types of vehicles, NGIVettes was rebranded as KewlRides.

KewlRides made its debut at the 2009 US Marines Corps Toys for Tots Toy Drive/Car Show. Shortly after that event the founders decided to rebrand all events and NGIVettes successor was to become KewlRides. While NGIVettes still exist, KewlRides has taken over control continuing NGIVettes ideals and expanding its mission. As the name implies, KewlRides isn't specific to any one particular make or model of car. In fact, KewlRides encourages participation of all types and styles of cars, trucks, and motorcycles!

We welcome anyone who wants to be a part of our membership community and join us at our events. KewlRides works with local charity and organizations to promote fundraisers to assist these groups in raising funds for the charity. We welcome folks to join us as we continue to grow as a group making a difference in the Atlanta and Georgia area. Moving forward into 2010 KewlRides not only takes over completely from NGIVettes, but also assumed NGIVettes web presence and is the host for the US Marines Corps Toys for Tots Toy Drive/Car Show. KewlRides also launched a new monthly event which began in August of 2009 known as KewlRides Chillin' loosely based after a meet & greet from the Long Island, NY area and the Caffine and Octane monthly event. This new event is held each 3rd Sunday of the month (with exception of December) to promote automobile comoradere and awareness of the charity selected each month.
